'Arya 2', 'Saleem' banned in Telengana

Telangana film distributors and exhibitors have decided not to screen Allu Arjun's 'Arya 2' and Manchu Vishnu's 'Saleem' as the Telangana agitators asked the theatres to stop screening these films immediately or face the consequences. About 200 theatres in the region were showing these films despite a ban on them.

The Telengana activists were enraged at the pro-united Andhra stance taken by Chiranjeevi's party Praja Rajyam and actor Mohan Babu and said that they would not allow the screening of films starring even their relatives. Allu Arjun is the nephew of Chiru and Manchu Vishnu, the son of Mohan Babu.

“Telangana people are upset with Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu,” said Vijendar Reddy, president of Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce. “So the agitators have been attacking theatres. We will screen other movies in the place of these two films.”
