Junior NTR out of danger

Telugu star Junior NTR got injured in a road accident on Thursday when the car in which he was travelling spun out of control and hit a tree. The incident took place at Nalgonda district in Andhra Pradesh. Two actors accompanying him also were injured.

The actor himself was driving the vehicle, a Tata Safari. The grandson of NTR, the legendary actor and former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, was returning to Hyderabad to celebrate Ugadi (Telugu New Year day) after campaigning for the Telugu Desam Party.

Jr NTR, with injuries on head, temple, shoulder and elbow, has been admitted to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) in Secunderabad. He is out of danger, informed the doctors at KIMS.

The accident occurred at a sharp turn, say the police. The actor did not see it in advance and he had to apply brakes suddenly.

The accident has come as a blow to the TDP as the young man, who has a striking resemblance to his late grandfather, has been attracting huge crowds at the election rallies.
