Varun Sandesh in 'Maro Charitra' remake

'Maro Charitra' (1978), an all-time classic by K.Balachander, is being remade again. Cameraman Ravi Yadav turns director with this film being produced by Dil Raju.

The film's pooja was held the other day. The sensitive film, starring Kamal Haasan and Sarita, was a superhit down South and was later remade into Hindi as 'Ek Duje Ke Liye', which became a cult classic. Varun Sandesh and Anita will reprise the roles of Kamal and Sarita respectively.

Pratap Pothan, Kota Srinivas Rao, Oorvashi, Naresh, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sandhya Janak and Aadarsh play important roles in this film.

Music is scored by Mickey J Meyer and the director has adapted the screenplay for the remake as well as cranking the camera.
